Misfit Flash brings neon colours, fitness and sleep tracking to your wrist for £50

This circular wallet-friendly wearable is will be aiming for stockings in December

Misfit has announced the Flash – a budget-friendly version of its Shine fitness tracker.

Made from soft-touch plastic as opposed to the Shine’s more premium all-metal build, the Flash will land on shelves with a rather agreeable £50 price tag – substantially cheaper than its Shine brother, which is currently hovering around the £80 mark.

The Flash’s functionality remains the same, letting you track your calories burned, steps and distance travelled during regular walking and exercise sessions.

An accompanying iOS and Android app also lets you see you well you’ve slept, in addition to keeping a food diary if you fancy keeping on top of your nutrition in painstaking detail.

Regular charging won’t be a problem either as it shares the Shine’s removable coin cell battery, which promises up to six glorious months of use.

It’s waterproof too, and it’ll arrive in a range of funky colours when it goes on sale in November.

We expect to wrap a Misfit Flash around our wrists soon, so stay tuned to see if it’s worthy of kickstarting your emergency-2015-lose-all-the-Christmas-fat programme in a few months time.
