Hyped for F1 2026? Apple Maps just turned a Grand Prix track into a 3D playground

You can now explore the Australian Grand Prix circuit corner by corner before the 2026 season begins

Apple TV F1

Apple has given impatient Formula 1 fans something to tinker with ahead of the new 2026 season by letting them explore a fully detailed 3D version of Melbourne’s Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit inside Apple Maps.

Users can zoom around the Australian Grand Prix track, see all 14 turns marked out, inspect realistic kerbs, view labelled grandstands and footbridges, and check out a three-dimensional model of the Pit Building. Other renderings include the paddock area, Lakeside Stadium, the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, and, of course, the finish line.

Fans fortunate enough to attend in person can also take advantage of practical race-day information like entrance gates, toilets, water stations, first aid locations, and merchandise stands. And if you want to plan your route through all of the above to meticulous detail, walking directions to specific grandstands are also supported.

Beyond the circuit, other Melbourne landmarks, including Eureka Tower, Luna Park, Marvel Stadium, and St. Paul’s Cathedral, are also rendered in enhanced detail.

If you want to take it for a spin, the guide – 2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World – showcases all 24 venues on this year’s calendar. You can find it in Apple Maps, and it’s also promoted inside the Apple TV Formula 1 channel, under the “More to Explore” section.

Other circuits featured in the guide include the Miami International Autodrome, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Circuit de Monaco, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Red Bull Ring, and Silverstone Circuit. Several tracks appear to have received upgraded 3D elements, while others are still more basic, at the time of writing.

The update arrives as Apple begins its first season holding exclusive US streaming rights to Formula 1 on Apple TV, where subscribers can stream all F1 races at no extra charge.
