HTC One with stock Android coming
Android purists rejoice, for HTC's superphone could soon be joining the ranks of its pure-Android Galaxy S4 rival
Famed ROM leaker @LlabTooFeR has tweeted that a stock Android HTC One without Sense 5 is definitely on the way.
If he’s right, the wishes of thousands of Android die-hards will be realised, thanks to the drool-inducing combination of the One’s excellent build quality and Google’s stock Android slickness.
Although HTC has already released a Developer edition of the One which is capable of running Android ROMs, the rumoured stock Android version would pit it directly against the stock Samsung Galaxy S4 in the Google Play store.
Whether or not we’ll see the release of the HTC One ‘Nexus’ as early as this summer – as the leak claims – remains to be seen, but we’ll be keeping a weather eye on the horizon for the ultimate metal-clad Android indulgence.
