Samsung is planning to add a useful ‘Find My Phone’ feature to its next-generation Galaxy Buds 4 Pro earbuds, according to a new report.

Android Authority believes the previously rumoured feature, which will apparently be powered by a button on the front of the charging case, is ready to launch with the 2026 model. Judging by information the company has spotted within a leaked One UI 8.5 build, pressing the button on the case will cause the phone to ring.

On Apple’s AirPods Pro, the button on the case is used for pairing with a device, while phone-finding is handled by Siri. From their AirPods, users can ask the assistant to play a sound on their phone, if it’s nearby.

On the Samsung side of things, there’s an existing Find My Earbuds feature that’s triggered via the smartphone. This is handy when the opposite device has slid between the sofa cushions for example. As for the Find My Phone feature, it remains to be seen whether it’d work with all Android phones or just Samsung’s Galaxy phones.

Furthermore, the site has been able to deduce that the case will have a speaker that may be used for locating the case itself, as is the case with Apple’s AirPods line of headphones.

The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are set to arrive early next year alongside the Galaxy S26 series of smartphones, according to the report. The site reports they’ll come in black and white, while new Head Gestures could prove useful for controlling key features without touch or voice.

The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro arrived in July 2024 alongside Samsung’s flagship foldables. They debuted a new design, which was more reminiscent of Apple’s AirPods Pro, with a neat brushed metal effect and a slick semi-transparent charging case.
