BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 available to download

Dig your sexy black slate back out of that drawer and go online, it’s time to update and start using your PlayBook again

BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is now available to download from your PlayBook over the air. This is exciting for three reasons: native emails, Facebook and Twitter integration, and Android Apps in BB App World.

BlackBerry may have suffered poor sales of its sexy slate due to its limited functionality for those who didn’t own a BlackBerry mobile – but that’s changing.

PlayBook OS 2.0 does away with all the old problems by adding Android Apps, integrating social networking and allowing you to access emails without a mobile anywhere near. Plus the new Bridge software lets BlackBerry phone owners use them as remotes.

While you’re waiting for the update to download, check out our full BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 guide. For all these clever extras that make the PlayBook a tablet player once more get downloading now and let us know what you think on Twitter @StuffTV.
