The current craze for releasing netbooks in all sorts of shapes and sizes shows no signs of slowing down – and news has just reached us that Acer is all set to launch a 10in version of its 3G-enabled Aspire One, perhaps as early as February 2009.

Currently the Aspire One is available only with an 8.9in screen, but according to Acer Taiwan president Scott Lin we’ll see a 10in version in either February or March. Sadly Lin didn’t spill any beanage on features and specs – but hopefully we’ll see Bluetooth squeezed into this one.

And it doesn’t end there – Acer also has plans for 12.1in, 13.3in, 14.1in and 15.6in notebooks in 2009, all of which will use LED backlight to improve image quality and boost battery life.

We thought the original Aspire One was an excellent buy when we ran the rule over it back in June – you can read the full review here.
