Lil Grit’s stickers are here to combat slippery smartphone trauma
Say goodbye to slick phone disasters

Modern phones: beautiful slabs of glass and metal. Oh, and slippy as heck.
Sure, you can wrap them in a dirt-attracting rubber grip case – but you’ll make designers from Cupertino to South Korea weep as you do so.
Praise be, then, for Lil Grit. No, it’s not Wayne’s dirtier brother, but super-subtle slip-proof stick-ons which will stop sweaty-pawed phone tappers from seeing their phones hit the floor quicker than shawty in a club.
Elastomer fantastic

Now we’ve got the tenuous popular culture references out of the way, let’s bask in the glory of the Lil Grit.
It’s a virtually invisible elastomer coating which adheres to the sides of your handset in suitably discreet fashion, protecting it whilst retaining its premium production properties.
Developed by one Nathan Cobb with little more than a spoon, a hobby knife and a whole heap of determination, Lil Grit is the end result of experiments with sandpaper, gaffer tape and rubber.

Grippy dreams

Whilst that might all sound a little bit murky, it was all in search of the Holy Grail of handset holding – none of those materials offer the same grip-enhancing qualities of the Lil Grit, at least not without ruining the aesthetic of your latest bank-busting handset.
What’s more, whilst the Grit gives you grip in the hand, it’s been designed to still slip sweetly into your short pockets.
Sounds too good to be true? Well, it sort of is (for now).
Lil Grit is in the early stages of a Kickstarter campaign looking to raise US$8,000 to take the new case companion from pipe dream to proper deal – so if you prefer your phone in the nude but not lacking protection, you might want to pledge a penny or five.
