Need to know – HTC Sensation

It’s got more Sense
The latest HTC Sense UI (version 3.0) has a new active lockscreen that will save you precious seconds – one circular motion will jump straight to making calls or taking photos without having to unlock the handset first. Sharper graphics aside, there’s also new animations and audible weather effects on the full-screen weather widget.
It’s fast
That’s a super-powerful 1.2Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside the Sensation, handy for running Android 2.3.3 – the latest version of Gingerbread. HTC reckons it’s made launching apps twice as quick with its new flagship.
It’s a snappy dresser
The rounded edges, the aluminium unibody, the contoured Gorilla glass touchscreen – this is one good looking handset. The Sensation’s curved back is decorated with an 8MP, dual-LED flash camera with instant capture mode and 1080p vid skills, plus stereo soundtracking.
It’s multimedia happy
The Sensation’s 4.3in QHD widescreen display is sharper than your average screen, which might be why this will be HTC’s first smartphone to feature HTC Watch, as seen on the company’s Flyer tablet. It’s a library of TV shows and films to rent or buy with clever, progressive downloading so there’s no lag between hitting play and watching your vid.
It’s out soon
HTC is keeping schtum on price as yet but Vodafone is set to get its hands on the first Sensation handsets from the middle of May. We’d imagine you’re looking at £35 per month on a two-year bind if you want a freebie.

Beautiful phone. I've been buying Sony Ericsson for the past few years and I think it's time for a change. It's either this one or the LG Optimus 3D.
