PS Vita PS3 cross-play details revealed
Should you buy a PlayStation Vita? Well, yes. For one, our full PlayStation Vita review says so. Even our review of Uncharted: Golden Abyss says the game alone is worth buying Sony’s handheld console for. High praise, but for the most exacting fence-sitters, Sony has just given Vita owners another reason to take the leap.
On its US blog, the company has announced that MotorStorm RC, Hustle Kings, Top Darts and WipEout 2048 will be available as cross-play titles. That means if you buy MotorStorm RC, you’ll be able to play it on your PS3 at no extra cost, while Hustle Kings and Top Darts will be available as free downloads (for your PS3, or vice versa if you already have the console game).
The WipEout package means if you buy WipEout 2048 for PS Vita, already own it for PS3 and have the HD Fury DLC, you’ll get that downloadable content for free when it’s released for Vita later in the year.
DLC for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom will also be available for Vita users at no extra cost.
