Nintendo Wii Mini unveiled in time for Christmas

Meet the Nintendo Wii Mini – the slimline version of the Wii that’s due out on December 7th in Canada for US$99 (£62). But should the rest of the world be envious?
With the Wii U out in time for Christmas why would you want a Wii Mini anyway? The fact that the top loading tray means it can’t play Gamecube titles and it comes with no internet connectivity compounds the question further.
But with free Nunchuck and MotionPlus controls for that price it certainly is a great present. Plus if you want the original Wii – which doesn't offer much online functionality other than Netflix anyway – this version gets you those fun motion controls and a compact piece of kit for less than the price of a Kindle. Plus Santa will be happy to deliver as it comes in his favourite colour.
