Xperia Play hacked to play your original Playstation games

You and Crash Bandicoot may need to spend some time apart

Fed up of the small number of original PlayStation games playable on the Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play and want to play your old PSOne classics? So did Android developer Yifan Lu but unlike you, he decided to do something about it. According to Phandroid he has hacked the official PlayStation emulator inside his gaming Android phone so that it will play disc images of all his dusty PlayStation classics.

Of course, he decided to test it out with Crash Bandicoot 3. Here’s how he did it. We have no idea whether this is legal or not but here’s some more gadget hacks and tricks that we’ve discovered.
