Xbox 720 release date slated for Christmas 2013

Anyone want to guess what Santa's going to be busy delivering next year?

Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox console will be invading Christmas tree bases next year if the latest rumours are to be believed.

According to Bloomberg‘s sources, the Xbox 720 (or whatever it ends up being called) will be hitting shelves in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2013 – much to the delight of gamers who have been rocking Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console for the past seven years.

We expect the Xbox 720 to make an appearance at E3 next year, along with Sony’s PlayStation 4, setting gamers up for another clash of the console titans.

While you’re twiddling your thumbs waiting for the Xbox 720 and PS4 to make an appearance, check out our Nintendo Wii U review and stay tuned for more news as and when it happens.
