Nine foot nothing; has a nice ring to it. It’s also the dimension of Sharp’s new record-breaking 108in wallflower unveiled in Las Vegas. And if that doesn’t rain on LG’s 102in plasma parade (about six inches of rain we’d say) then how about the fact that Sharp’s colossus is no mere plasma but an LCD?That’ll be higher resolution with lower power consumption then. Still, we don’t fancy the chances of squeezing one in the back of a hatchback on the way home from Currys when it goes on sale this summer. Guess we’ll just have to console ourselves with the current world’s largest production plasma, LG’s 71-incher, also on display at CES. Pass the Pringles.
