MWC 2012 – ViewSonic unveils the first dual-SIM Android 4.0 phones

These three Ice Cream Sandwich offerings come packing two SIM slots and names borrowed from Apple's reject pile

ViewSonic has revealed its offerings for MWC 2012, in the shape of three dual-SIM Android 4.0 phones – the first such Ice Cream Sandwich blowers, in fact. The trio also come sporting suspiciously Apple-esque names: ViewSonic 4s, 4e and 5e.

The ViewSonic 4s is at the sharper end of the scale, with a 3.5in 640x960 Super Clear ICS LCD screen and a 1GHz processor. It also features a 5MP snapper and front-facing camera for video calls.

For those on a budget, the ViewSonic 4e arrives packing a 3.5in HVGA screen, 650MHz processor and a 3MP camera into its 10.3in frame. ViewSonic claims it has a longer battery life than some of its competitors, although we'll hold off on judging that until we get our hands on one at MWC.

Last up to bat is the ViewSonic 5e – which is aiming to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note and LG Optimus Vu with its 5in 480x800 WVGA screen.

ViewSonic doesn't mention any other specs in its Chinese-language press release, but we'll keep you updated with any details as they roll in.
