Gadget of the Day – Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N100

Looking like a cross between a Creative Zen Micro and a Palm Z22, Fujitsu-Siemens’ Pocket Loox previously claimed to be the world’s smallest sat-nav. A few months on and debuting on the high street, it’s relegated itself to being the ‘lightest’ MP3-playing navigator. At a dainty 110g, it’s still tiny, but beware, it doesn’t have the 2GB internal storage of the N110, so it’s just fiddly old Mini SD for this model’s music needs. It does, though, pack the latest Mobile Navigator 6 from Navigon with new features such as warning you in advance which lane to be in, and maps for the UK and Europe pre-loaded. The portrait design also makes it easier for handheld use on two legs and it’ll happily clip to a bike.Should white not match your all-leather interior or mud-splattered cycle, you can even swap the interchangeable fascia for something more suited – or go all out and wait for a Swarovski crystal version.
