BlackBerry Curve 9320 launched with BB OS 7.1 and BBM key
This budget BlackBerry joins the 9220 in the Curve line-up with a release date that's right around the corner
The Curve 9320 missed the BlackBerry World boat with its official unveiling but with a thrifty price tag, tidy BB design and features like mobile hotspot skills and a dedicated BBM key we’ll forgive the late arrival.
The 9320 is running the social media-friendly BB OS 7.1 – there’s no sign of the incoming BlackBerry 10 OS here. That’s a typical Curve 2.44in 320×240 LCD display and QWERTY keyboard you see and there’s 512MB of RAM under the hood. Packing a 3.2MP camera with flash and video recording round the back, the 9320 is a step up from the cheaper 9220 (with a 2MP snapper) announced at BlackBerry World.
Clearly, this is no high-end handset but you do get decent basics like 3G, Wi-Fi, FM radio and up to 32GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot. RIM also reckons that the 1,450mAh battery will give your Curve 9320 a better than average battery life.
Three has announced it’ll stock the Curve 9320 from 14th May – so not long to wait – and the price plans are pretty tasty too. You’ll pay £140 for the handset or you could plump for Three’s All in One plans for £15 (300 minutes, 3000 texts) or £25 (500 minutes, 3000 texts) with unlimited data.
