Details have slipped out onto fan site ArchosLounge, with Amazon flogging the iPod nano–wannabe Archos 2 in 8GB and 16GB flavours in the US. The smaller model will come in at £40, with the larger version costing a mere £61. You do only get a 1.8in screen, but with SD support, these are great Apple alternatives.

The Archos 4 remains an enigma though, with rumours pointing to a 4in screen (no surprise there), along with 16GB and 32GB variants.
