This charger is a must-have for anyone that uses a power station

Bluetti's new Charger 2 can juice up power stations at up to 1200W while you drive – that's 13 times faster than a 12V adapter

I recently took a power station with me on a camping trip and thought I’d juice it back up on the long drive. But using the satndard 12V car socket took forever. If you find yourself having the same problem, then Bluetti’s latest bit of kit is a must-have. The Charger 2 is Bluetti’s smart energy hub that shoves power back into your gear at up to 1200W while you’re on the road.

It merges juice from your vehicle’s alternator rather than the 12V socket and you can pair it with solar panels. A 1kWh battery can get topped up in under an hour, which is a lot quicker than regular charging speeds.

Charger 2 is designed to slide into place in the back of SUVs, pickups, camper vans, and RVs. It acts as the brain of your whole off-grid vehicle setup, juggling starter batteries, solar panels, loads, and expansion packs. There’s also an optional DC Hub with up to 600W of DC output and ports for basically everything.

Using your alternator to charge a battery sounds daunting at first – what if it runs your car battery down? But Bluetti thought of that. Reverse charging means if your starter battery dies in the middle of nowhere, the Charger 2 can dish out 800W of emergency jumpstart. Or it’ll trickle life back into it if you’re parked up long-term.

You can monitor and control it all through Bluetti’s updated app. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are included, and Charger 2 works with smart alternators like those in Euro 6 vehicles. You can even use this charger with non-Bluetti power stations, so you don’t need to go out and buy a new portable battery.

Bluetti launched the Charger 2 at CES 2026, and it’s available now for $349/£275, before the price increases slightly on 7 February. If you’ve already got a Charger 1, you can upgrade for just $99 and keep your existing cables.
