Honor View 10 mimics the Mate 10 Pro – but still keeps the headphone jack

AI-assisted camera smarts on board

Honor is upping its high-end game with the View 10, a 5.99in full-screened flagship that borrows an awful lot of tech from parent company Huawei’s Mate 10 Pro. Here you get a metal frame instead of glass, and LCD screen instead of OLED, but you still get super-skinny bezels, and while the dual rear cameras don’t have a Leica logo, you still get a 16MP + 20MP setup with AI that can recognise things like plants, dogs, cats and selfies – then tweak settings automatically to get a better shot. A Kirin 970 CPU delivers plenty of power, and Android 8 Oreo is on-board, too. Throw in a 3750mAh battery and Honor’s distinctive colours, and you’ve got an eye-catching phablet that arrives on January 8 with a very respectable £449 price tag.
