Felix Baumgartner’s Lego space jump

Felix Baumgartner is the crazy Austrian fellow who dived back down to Earth from 24 miles above its surface, and this brave little Lego pilot manages to achieve the same feat. Almost.

We tried to calculate the equivalent height/distance ratio to account for the much smaller size of the Lego daredevil, but then our brains started to hurt. Either way, it’s high enough for a minifigure and the courageous fellow was rightfully rewarded with lots of little celebration beers after his successful landing.

Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock HQ

The special effects and soundtrack in this Spidey-themed entry are nothing short of mind blowing. From web swinging to fast paced combat, it has everything you could ever want. From a stop-motion Lego production.

Bricks of War

Explosions, bullets, guns and chainsaws (which are attached to previously mentioned guns). It can only mean Gears of War, and it’s adorably gruesome in Lego form.

Creator Kooberz even manages to pull off the game’s third-person camera angle and aiming animations smoothly. An action-packed masterpiece.

“These were once games, my child”.

“But why are the graphics so bad, granddad”?

“They’re made out of Lego, you see. But the games themselves weren’t much clearer in real life. We didn’t have any of the HD 4K speculus rift nonsense you have now”.

Little Timmy picks up his controller, faces the TV, and slits the throat of a mutant alien while gleefully insulting its mother. A single tear gently crawls down granddad’s face.

Eddie Izzard- Death Star Canteen

We’re not sure what possessed YouTube user Thorn2200 to upload this Lego rendition of Eddie Izzard’s Death Star canteen routine, but we’re sure glad they did it. Adding plenty of comedic weight to an already funny piece, we’ll never quite look at a tray without smirking again.

Portal – Lego Stop Motion

We challenge you to sit through this entire Portal-themed movie without nodding your head or tapping your feet to the excellent ending song sung by GLaDOS. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’ve suddenly developed a massive hankering for a slice of moist, tasty cake.

“Mission Assembled” Lego superhero stop motion movie

Ok, so this doesn’t have the same level of polish and dazzling effects as some of the other entries. But it’s 21 minutes long, damn it, and it was made by a loving dad as a surprise birthday present for his son’s eighth birthday.

Combining more superheroes than you can shake a glove at, it’s every little kid’s Lego dream come true.

Star Wars: The Han Solo Affair

From the creators of the Spiderman Lego short movie comes this Star Wars-themed snippet which follows Han Solo’s carbonite imprisonment. This version didn’t make the final cut for the actual movie, but it exists here in all its blocky glory.

Lego Shopping

Supermarkets are only ahead of garden centres and dentists on the scale of boring establishments, but all it takes to make them exciting is a little dash of Lego.

Created by Lego master Michael Hickox, it’s by far the best supermarket-themed Lego movie you’ll ever need to see.

Lego zombie hunters

We know what you’re thinking. What good is a Lego zombie movie when Lego pieces don’t come with blood, brains and guts to spill? Luckily this flick has all of the above and more, thanks to some very well done (and pretty gruesome) special effects.

We’ll never look at red plasticine in the same way again.
