Want your OnePlus 3 for the best possible price? Buy it before 11 July

Gadget fans get their first taste of Brexit fallout

The economic effects of the recent EU referendum are likely to be felt for decades, but one of the first bits of fallout the UK will see is a rise in the cost of a smartphone.

The OnePlus 3 (at the time of writing our favourite phone on the market) currently costs £309, but on 11 July that’ll rise by £20 to £329.

OnePlus blames this hike on the pound’s rapid fall against the US dollar, coupled with the thin margins the company already makes on its products. In order for the 3 to stay profitable, UK customers are going to have to shell out a little bit more.

It’s a small difference, true – and the 3 will still be a lot cheaper than most of its flagship rivals – but if you’re determined to pay the least for this phone, do yourself a favour and buy it before 11 July.

To find out why we think it’s such a great handset, read our full OnePlus 3 review.
