Blimey, Tesco really is throwing itself into this whole gadget thing wholeheartedly. Yesterday it was movie and TV downloads, today the slinky Dell E Slim series.
The laptop, which reared its head back in June, has found its way onto the supermarket’s website, with Engadget managing to pick up all the deets on what we can expect from the Mini 9’s big bro.
Under the hood you’ll get Linux, 40GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, an Intel Atom and 3–in–1 card reader. All this and a 12.1in screen that’ll make the likes of the 9in Mini 9 look the size of a stamp.
And then there’s the price. Tesco is offering it at a stonking £299, far better than the 400 nicker you’ll need to stump up for the HP Mini–Note.
The E Slim is set to come in a string of different colours when it finally launches, although Dell’s being pretty coy about when that will actually be.
So, we suggest you keep an eye on Tesco and get to grips with the E Slim’s smaller netbook rivals in our round–up feature.
