Sony leak reveals PS3 price cut and new PSP titles

Given the fact that this comes from an anonymous source we'll take it with a pinch of salt, but according to our buddies over at Electricpig Sony has

The source, who claims he or she attended Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s yearly staff briefing last week, says that 2009 will see the PS3 getting a “more competitive” price. This will apparently happen in March, although exactly how competitive it will become is unclear – the £279 PS3 will need a major pruning of its price tag to compete with the Xbox 360 Premium, currently available for as little as £165.

The PS3 will also be getting Uncharted 2 at some point which, seeing as the first outing is possibly the best exclusive game on the system, is definitely a good thing.

On the PSP front, the source claims we’ll see big PS3 titles MotorStorm and LittleBigPlanet given the handheld treatment. Again, no dates are hinted at, but frankly, some more decent titles on the PSP can’t come fast enough for us…
