Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman unveiled

Like Walkman? And Facebook? Also makes calls

When Sony released four new sets of all-singing, all-dancing headphones this summer, we noticed one thing that none of them could do: make calls. With the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman handset, announced today, all has become clear.

Running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) when it is released in Q4 of this year, the new smartphone includes a dedicated Walkman button to launch the music player as well as music content via Qriocity. Sony Ericsson was also feeling pretty dedicated to Facebook integration with instant access to the time-sapping social network through the photo gallery, phonebook, calendar and music player. Add a 5MP rear camera plus front-facer for Skype calls and we know what we’re hoping will be dropping beats in our Christmas stocking this year.
