Gingerbread update coming to HTC phones

The Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S can expect the update

HTC has announced that a selection of its handsets will be updated with the Android Gingerbread OS in Q2 of this year.

After the HTC-made Google Nexus One update was announced last week, the owners of the aging HTC Desire could rightly begin to worry they may be left behind. Now the HTC Desire, Desire HD and Desire Z will all receive the Gingerbread update.

The recently on sale HTC Incredible S that came with Froyo pre-installed won’t have it for long as Gingerbread will be installed on this handset too.
