Steam launches free Android and iOS app

Great, now we'll never be able to escape the dangerous temptations of Steam's game sales

Valve has released its Steam Mobile app in beta form on both Android and iOS devices with features that include browsing groups and profiles and chatting to your virtual companions.

Users can also peruse the vast treasures of the Steam catalogue before purchasing titles from within the app itself – an expensive Achilles heel for weak-willed gamers who are constantly being tempted by Steam’s ludicrous sales.

The app is in a limited beta stage, so download it now to be automatically put in the invite queue. Think of it as an exclusive fancy club for geeks, minus the £1000 bottles of Vodka and fancy leather seats.
