Windows Phone Tango has leaked

With more multitasking capacity, lower memory use and MMS updates, Tango is looking good

Windows Phone Tango – the OS for lower powered handsets – has slipped out the Microsoft doors and into the hands of some eager-to-share developers over at the XDA forums. So far there are only a few details before the portable Tango launch on March 21st, but they’re juicy.

The Windows Phone Tango multitasking will be able to support eight – rather than Mango’s five – apps at a time while multitasking. It will also do it using less memory since the task memory appears to be the same even under the extra strain. Another nice touch is Delivery Confirmation and Acknowledgement being added to the MMS settings, presumably much like BBM’s tick system.

Check back for more details as they leak.
