Virgin’s 50MB broadband has already served up superfast web at home, but Vodafone is preparing to take the ever–growing world of mobile broadband to the next level, unveiling a new 28Mbps dongle at Mobile World Congress next month.

The new stick will pack HSPA+ tech, faster than the current 14Mbps on offer from regular HSPA. Word is we could be getting involved with this new service by the end of 2009.

Faster mobile broadband would truly take the web on the move, with proper speeds rather than the snails pace of some of today’s offerings. We’ll be at MWC bringing you all the news as we get it, so stay tuned for more.
