Tablet deal alert! Save £100 on the five-star Xiaomi Pad 8 on Amazon

Flagship-level power, a silky 144Hz display, and a big battery for just £299

If you’ve been holding out for a tablet deal, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Xiaomi Pad 8 is now just £299 on Amazon – £100 off from its usual £399 price.

That’s a sizeable 25 per cent discount on one of the best tablets that punches well above its RRP. In our review, we described the Pad 8 as an affordable Android tablet sweet spot, thanks to its strong performance, big battery and productivity-friendly features.

A big part of that appeal comes from the hardware. The Pad 8 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM, giving it noticeably more power than many budget Android tablets that rely on slower MediaTek processors. In testing, it felt impressively snappy, whether switching between apps or multitasking with multiple windows open.

The 11.2-inch LCD display is another highlight. With a sharp 3200×2136 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, it’s smooth and detailed enough for both streaming and productivity tasks. While it doesn’t use OLED tech, colours are still vibrant, and HDR10 support helps video content look lively as well.

Battery life also holds up well. In our testing, the 9200mAh battery got through multiple days of typical use, and even with lots of video streaming, it should still last a full day before needing a recharge.

Elsewhere, Xiaomi has also leaned into productivity. Optional accessories like the Focus Keyboard and Focus Pen stylus turn the Pad 8 into a surprisingly capable work device, while HyperOS on top of Android 16 includes split-screen multitasking and floating windows for juggling multiple apps.

At its usual £399 price, the Pad 8 was already a compelling Android alternative to pricier tablets like the OnePlus Pad 3, iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+. With this Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet deal bringing it down to £299, it becomes an even stronger value pick if you want a powerful tablet without spending flagship money.
