You know how it is – you wait for news of a new camera and seven come along at once. In fact, combined with announcements by Pentax, Fujifilm, Canon and Nikon, the news of Sony’s seven new Cybershots mean we’re looking at an particularly snap-happy summer…First up are three new releases in the W range. The W80 and W90 take care of the budget end, with 7.2 and 8.1megapixels respectively, while the W200 offers a whopping 12.1megapixels for a compact camera. All three share a 3x optical zoom, HD-output capability and the same distinctive pop-out Carl Zeiss lenses. For fashion-conscious snappers, the ultra-svelte T-series now includes a new flagship model, the T100 – the first to pack a 5x optical zoom within its 22.3mm-thin all-metal casing. It’s little brother, the T20 does 3x zoom, but shares the same HD output and 8.1megapixels within its couture casing.Batting with the big boys are the H7 and H9 DSLRs. Both keep the distinctive H-Series meaty lens and both offer 8.1-megapixel quality with 15x optical zoom, as well as NightShot for shooting in complete darkness – ideal for those with a taste for more, ahem, adventurous photography.
