Samsung Galaxy Note 3 pegged for September release date, Galaxy Gear smartwatch to follow in October

The Note 3 could be nestled in your pocket in a few weeks, with a shiny smartwatch to follow

You could be wrapping your hands (and wrists) around the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch sooner than you think, if the latest rumours prove to be true.

According to SamMobile‘s source, the Galaxy Note 3 will be shipping in the 36th week of this year, or in more useful terms, between September 2nd and September 8th.

The mysterious Galaxy Gear smartwatch on the other hand is expected to ship between September 30th and October 6th, though delays could affect various regions.

That’s an impressive feat given that both products are expected to be revealed on September 4th at IFA and implies that we could see the third generation Note on our shelves in mid-September, with a clever watch on our wrists by mid-October.

Very little is known about the Galaxy Gear smartwatch at this stage, but Samsung’s patent suggests that it could arrive with a flexible display. It’s also not expected to have any SIM capabilities according to the Verge’s source, meaning you’ll need to tether it to your existing smartphone if you want to squeeze out its maximum potential.

Check out our guide to everything we know about the Galaxy Note 3 so far, as well as what Samsung needs to do to make the Galaxy Note 3 the best phone in the world.
