Renault launching R-Link tablet for cars in 2012

Integrated tablet will feature app store and cloud connectivity for all your driving infotainment needs

Renault wants to entertain you – the car manufacturer’s launching R-Link, an in-car tablet with its own app store and cloud connectivity.

Launching in late 2012, the R-Link will feature a custom UI for quick access to multimedia, TomTom LIVE GPS navigation and vehicle statistics. You’ll also get access to the R-Link store, which will feature 50 apps available for download at launch, including ‘parking social network’ Apila.

The R-Link will be included as standard on the Renault Zoe and Clio, and will be available as an option on all forthcoming Renault cars.

We’ll only be happy if the satnav voices are called Papa and Nicole, though.
