LG unveils 8MP KC780 slider phone

It looks like the 8MP floodgates have well and truly opened. With Samsung showing off their new Pixon and Sony Ericsson prepping the C905, LG has just

Unlike their first, the KC910 Renoir, this isn’t a touchscreen blower, but a regular slider that just happens to have an excellent camera round the back. Some might say that’s a good thing, seeing as LG’s touch capabilities remain somewhat limited.

So, what are we looking at? Alongside that 8MP sensor, there’s face and smile detection and ISO 1600. But ifyou’re after something with a bit of grunt as well as a top snapper, you might want to look away.

There’s no 3G or Wi–Fi, just 140MB of on board storage, and a total lack of GPS. Which means no C905–esque geotagging fun here. Mind you, if you’re after a slinky budget camphone without any fancy extras, this is the one for you.
