iPad deal alert! Save big on the new 11in iPad Air on Amazon, powered by Apple’s mighty M4 processor

Apple’s freshly launched tablet gets a rare early discount

iPad Air M4

Fancy one of the best tablets without paying Pro-level money? Apple’s latest iPad Air has only just landed, but you can already grab the 11in model for $559 instead of $599, thanks to Amazon’s Big Spring Sale iPad deal.

That might not be a huge discount on paper, but for a brand-new Apple device, $40 off this early is worth noting – especially when the upgrades here are anything but minor.

The headline change is the move to Apple’s M4 chip, which, in real-world terms, means a noticeably snappier experience whether you’re editing video, gaming, or juggling multiple apps at once.

In fact, early benchmark results suggest that the new iPad Air delivers double-digit gains over the previous M3 model in some tasks, with smoother everyday responsiveness to match. It doesn’t quite hit iPad Pro levels on paper, but it’s far closer than the price difference might suggest.

Elsewhere, Apple has quietly made the Air more compelling across the board. You’re getting more memory as standard, with storage starting at 128GB, plus updated connectivity thanks to Apple’s own C1X cellular chip and N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread.

The overall design remains familiar – still thin, light, and available in both 11in and 13in sizes – but that’s no bad thing. This is very much about boosting performance and value rather than reinventing the wheel.

At its usual $599 starting price, the iPad Air already sits in a sweet spot between the entry-level iPad and the Pro range. At $559, it becomes an even stronger pick – especially if you want near-Pro performance without stretching your budget.
