Hublot launches a Big Bang sequel at Watches and Wonders – meet the Big Bang Reloaded

Hublot has unveiled the Big Bang Reloaded at Watches and Wonders 2026, a complete re-engineering of its iconic openworked chronograph. It is the most significant update to the Big Bang Unico since the movement was first introduced.

The watch marks the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang collection. It also celebrates the 21st birthday of Hublot as a manufacture.

The story here is the movement. The Unico caliber, Hublot’s in-house flyback chronograph, has been redesigned to be seen. Colour accents highlight the column wheel at 6 o’clock and the dual oscillating clutch at 8 o’clock. A redesigned chronograph counter sits at 3 o’clock. The date has been repositioned between 4 and 5.

It sounds like small detail work. In practice it transforms the legibility of the dial entirely.

The Unico has always been an impressive piece of engineering. Five patented innovations live inside it, including a backlash-compensating oscillating clutch and an anti-shaking chronograph hand system. The new design finally lets you see what all the fuss is about.

On the outside, the 44mm case gets a two-part bezel for sharper contrasts between materials. Each watch comes with two straps, one fabric-inspired rubber with H-pattern stitching, one classic black rubber, both using Hublot’s One Click quick-change system.

Five references launch here. Four are in ceramic: All Black, Blue, Dark Green, and, the standout, Magic Gold. The final model pairs titanium with black ceramic, a nod to the original Big Bang Unico from 2013.

The Magic Gold is the one to watch, though. Hublot’s scratch-resistant 18K gold, developed over four years with EPFL’s Metallurgy Lab, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. It remains one of the most genuinely interesting materials in watchmaking. The bronze warmth of it against a blacked-out dial looks great in my opinion.

The Big Bang Reloaded is available now at selected Hublot boutiques and online. All watches carry Hublot’s 5+5 warranty, which can extend coverage to ten years.
