We’ve only just finished wiping the sweat from our frets after marathon sessions of Guitar Hero II on the Xbox 360 (pictured). Now bothering our inboxes, heralded by a Guns N’ Roses riff, comes notice that Guitar Hero III is already in the pipeline. And the good news for electric guitar-starved gamers is that, as well as PS2 and Xbox 360, it’s now making the leap to the PS3 and Wii.Hopes that it might employ the Wii’s wireless remotes in some sort of air guitar waving configuration have been dashed, however. Rocking makers, Red Octane, have confirmed that Nintendo fans will have to use the guitar controller just like everybody else. We are told, though, that online play will be a new addition to add to the online song downloads from II.And while there are no firm details yet on what the new track list will be, we’ve been primed to look out for additions from Metallica, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. Rock on.
