Google makes real life Halloween Doodle

These six pumpkins didn't stand a chance against the search giant's quirkiness

This is what Google employees get up to when they aren't ruling the internet: carving giant, 1000 pound pumpkins at the Mountain View complex in California. A time-lapse video of the real-life doodle has taken the place of the Google logo on its homepage, to celebrate Halloween.

You can watch a behind the scenes video on the Google blog for more zaniness or just leg it to the nearest supermarket to get in on the giant pumpkin bandwagon. Now we're wondering if Google will make the same amount of fuss about Guy Fawkes and spend a ton on giant fireworks.
