The Goldee light controller is by far the sexiest light switch we’ve ever seen

We know there's not much competition in the world of light switches but still, this smart light controller is simply awesome

The Goldee Light controller might look like an unassuming rounded black rectangle, but buried within it is a bunch of tech that’ll transform your lights forever.

Paired with a corresponding Android or iOS app, the Goldee can be set to turn on your lights to wake you up with its Sunrise Alarm function before automatically turning off when you leave home.

It’ll also brighten things up automatically when you return, and a handy sleep timer gradually dims the lights, telling you that its time to stop browsing Reddit and go to bed.

If you happen to wake up for a midnight trip to the bathroom then there’s a handy dim night light function too, to stop you from searing your retinas with bright light.

And of course, you can select different colours and save presets from ‘story time blue’ to ‘romantic evening red’. You rascal you.

Packed with tech

The Goldee’s AMOLED display is slathered in Gorilla Glass and it packs a proximity sensor so that it knows when you’ve entered and left the room and you can even control it with a wave of your hands, Jedi style.

It’s also got an ambient sensor so that it can adjust the brightness according to the environmental light, and it’ll even work with regular bulbs.

If you want to unlock the Goldee’s full potential though then you’ll want to pick up a smart LED like the Philips Hue, ileum or LIFX LED lights.

The basic Goldee will set you back US$250 for one controller, though you could pre-order the home Pack which includes 12 LED smart bulbs and four controllers for US$1700 if you want the ultimate home disco experience.
