Watching the recent Transformers movie took us right back to those early Saturday mornings – you know, when you get up earlier than you would for School.
You sneak into the living room (don’t wake mum up) and turn on the TV to Wac-a-day just for those sweet, sweet 15 minutes of Transformers.
Magic like that is few and far between these days, so it’s music to our ears when gadgets like this take one step closer to the hearts of the British people.
The SoundWave MP3 player, from Japan’s TakaraTomy, is now available through AudioCubes – a US gadget import site that handily lists items in UK pounds Sterling – for a lovely £65.
We admit, it’s not the greatest MP3 player in the world: six hours of battery life, a maximum of 1GB of storage and it’s a bit large. But it transforms. Into SoundWave!
And that’s where the magic lies. When we were kids, something like this would have knocked us into orbit, and it’s those grown-up kids who are really appreciating this MP3 player.
Honestly, we’d never take it on our daily commutes or go jogging with it, but it will look perfect next to our special edition Optimus Prime and realistic Subaru SmokeScreen.
More practical Transformers, please, Tomy.
