We’re pretty confident this is an industry first. HP’s latest 7.2MP, 3x zoom Photosmart, the R837, has a new ‘pet-eye’ fix.Snap away with the built-in flash and it’ll automatically remove those glowing reflections from a pet’s pupils. An anti-red-eye tool for canine kind? Should be top dog at Crufts.Casting a human eye over the new cam, we can’t help but spot that it’s a bit of a design departure for Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. Take that sliding front panel and an internal zoom lens – very Sony. Move round to the back and there’s also a mighty 3in display.’Pet-eye’ isn’t the only fancy new feature either. How about the ‘slimming mode’ or ‘HP touch-up’ for blemish removal?Once we’ve given one a proper going over, we’ll let you know if it really is man’s (and dog’s) best friend.
