Apple sends out invites to 10 September launch

iPhone 5S and 5C models likely to make their debut at Cupertino event

Apple has just sent out press invitations to a 10th September event at its Cupertino campus.

The invite confirms reports of a 10th September product announcement, and from the phrase, “This should brighten everyone’s day” it seems all but certain that we’ll get our first official look at the iPhone 5C, the cheaper, plastic-bodied iPhone model set to come in a wide range of colour finishes.

Going for gold?

It’s highly likely that the iPhone 5S – a more powerful version of the iPhone 5 – will also be shown off, so we’ll get to see if the rumours of a gold iPhone are on the money. If true, it’ll be the first time Apple has ever launched more than one model of iPhone at a single event.

We’ll be there, so come back in a week’s time to see what we think of Apple’s new products.
