I don’t use AirPods. But if I did, I’d 100% buy this retro Apple mouse case for them
A nostalgic Spigen case turns your AirPods into a tiny Macintosh mouse – and yes, the click actually does something
If you’re rocking some of the best wireless earbuds, or, specifically, the Apple AirPods Pro 3, Spigen’s new retro Apple mouse AirPods case should definitely be on your radar. Unless you hate nostalgia.
Spigen’s new Classic LS AirPods Pro 3 case is designed to look like the original Macintosh mouse – the chunky, beige, single-button icon that helped define Apple in the 80s. Part of the brand’s retro-themed accessory range, it’s definitely the best AirPods case I’ve seen for a long while.
And crucially, it goes beyond visual gimmicks. The oversized grey mouse button is actually a cleverly disguised locking mechanism, clipping the case shut so your earbuds don’t go flying if you drop it. Press it, and the lid pops open, making for a practical, satisfying way to free your buds.

Despite the makeover, it still behaves like a normal AirPods case. There’s support for wireless charging, a cutout for USB-C charging, and an LED to indicate charging status.
Made from a mix of a rigid polycarbonate inner shell and a softer TPU outer layer, it should offer a decent bit of drop protection too. You also get a lanyard, because the case itself blocks the built-in loop on the AirPods charging case.
If you’re interested in getting your retro fix, you can grab it from Amazon US / Amazon UK for $24.99 / £25.99 at the time of writing (down from $29.99). That’s more reasonable than the $44.99 list price on Spigen’s own website, pushing it firmly into impulse buy territory.
Of course, you don’t need an AirPods case, unless you’re particularly accident-prone. But if you want to keep your Apple buds looking box-fresh, there are certainly far worse ways to go about it.#
