Say whaaat?! Ring’s newest video doorbell is slashed to half price on Amazon

If you’ve been thinking about adding a video doorbell to your front door, now might be the time to strike. Amazon has knocked a massive 50 per cent off Ring’s latest Battery Video Doorbell, turning an already affordable smart home upgrade into a seriously tempting Ring doorbell deal.

Normally selling for $99.99 / £79.99, Amazon has slashed it to just $49.99 / or £39.99. That’s one of the lowest prices we’ve seen for Ring’s latest battery-powered doorbell, and is entering Impulse Buy territory.

This isn’t an older 1080p model being cleared out either. Ring refreshed its battery-powered range earlier this year, bringing 2K video quality to its most affordable doorbell. It offers 2K video, along with up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, making it much easier to identify visitors, deliveries, and any other shenanigans and goings on outside your front door.

Unlike Ring’s pricier Battery Doorbell Plus and Battery Doorbell Pro models, there’s no quick-release battery pack here. Instead, Ring opted for a built-in USB-C rechargeable battery design that helps keep costs down while maintaining the same straightforward wireless installation. 

You’ll still get the familiar Ring experience too, including motion alerts, live video access through the Ring app, two-way talk, and compatibility with Alexa devices. Pair it with an Echo Show, and you can also see who’s at the door without reaching for your phone.

Of course, Ring’s optional subscription remains where many of the more advanced features live, including cloud video history, AI-powered video descriptions, and keyword-based video search. But even without those extras, this is a straightforward way to add an extra layer of security and convenience to your home.

Overall, if you’ve been considering a video doorbell but couldn’t justify spending bigger bucks, this Ring doorbell deal makes the decision a hell of a lot easier.
