Amazon Echo Spot deal! Big savings on an Alexa smart speaker with a screen

Is your bedside table due for an upgrade?

If your bedroom setup could do with a bit more brains, Amazon’s Echo Spot deal could be the time to strike. A compact bit of kit in the running for one of the best smart speakers, it can be yours for just $44.99 / £54.99 on Amazon, thanks to the Prime Day 2026 sale.

That’s up to 44 per cent off, for those keeping tabs, making this Echo Spot deal substantially lower than the regular $79.99 / $79.99 asking price. But why would you want one?

Ideal for a bedside table or kitchen counter, the Echo Spot is, in essence, a simpler take on the Echo Show. It’s rocking a screen for key info, but without the full, distracting, tablet-like experience.

Naturally, the dinky display shows the time, but it also handles things like weather updates, calendar events, and song info, with customisable clock faces and colour themes to match your setup. It’s designed to be glanced at, rather than stared at.

Sound-wise, it’s broadly in line with the Echo Dot, using a similarly sized front-firing speaker. That means it’s perfectly capable for podcasts, radio, and casual music listening – more than enough for a bedroom or kitchen.

And, as you’d expect, Alexa is doing the heavy lifting. You can set alarms, timers, control smart home devices, or ask for updates throughout the day. There’s also a physical mic mute button for a bit of added privacy, along with simple touch controls for things like snoozing alarms or skipping tracks.

It’s not a bad setup for the $79 price, let alone $49. If you’ve got cash to spare, buy a few, and spread them out across the house, if you fancy.
