I’ve never seen a better deal on an RTX 5070 gaming laptop than this Acer

The Acer Nitro V16 AI is a steal at this price

Acer’s Nitro gaming laptops have always toed a fine line between price and performance, but this Black Friday has pushed the Nitro V16 AI to an all-time low. It’s probably the most affordable machine out there with Nvidia RTX 5070 graphics right now, and should be on every gamer’s radar as a result.

You can currently pick up the Nitro V16 AI for just £1050 in the UK, while Amazon US has a slightly less potent 5060 model going for $1100.

Black Friday Week is here, and you can find all the best offers over on Amazon US and Amazon UK.

The spec sheet is very well balanced, with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. Acer has stayed subtle with the styling, while keeping a few gamer-grade features like an illuminated keyboard. It’s also got ample connectivity to make this a proper desktop replacement machine.

It’s the RTX 5070 that’s the star of the show, though, having enough muscle to comfortably play modern titles at the Nitro’s 1920×1200 native resolution and 180Hz refresh rate. Having tested this chip in smaller machines, I can vouch for its ability to run Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing once DLSS upscaling lends a helping hand, while Battlefield 6 plays like a dream. The Nitro’s dual cooling fans and 16in chassis should easily tame temperatures for consistent performance.

A 9% discount from the previous lowest price may not be huge, but it’s enough to push the Nitro V16 AI into otherwise unheard of territory for an RTX 5070 laptop. Amazon UK is listing it for £1050, rather than the usual £1149.

This exact spec doesn’t seem to be available in North America, but Amazon US has a killer deal on a similar system with slightly lower specs. The Acer Nitro V 16S AI normally retails for $1300, but it’s currently just $1100 – a 15% reduction on a machine that’ll still play most modern titles at a decent lick.

You’re getting an AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage and a 16in, 1920×1200 display good for 180Hz refresh rate. That’s a great pairing to the Nvidia RTX 5060, which is best suited to Full HD gaming without having to instantly activate DLSS upscaling.
