Philips Fidelio SoundSphere joins the AirPlay party

Stream from iTunes to these alien iPod-docking speakers

We’ve seen the SoundSphere speakers before, but now they’ve been paired with the Fidelio iPod dock to become, unsurprisingly, the Philips Fidelio SoundSphere.

In addition to the docking, it’s got Wi-Fi and AirPlay support so you can stream music from iTunes or an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

Could these now be the loveliest-looking iPod speakers around? And will they sound as good as they look?

We’ll find out in May when they land for around £800.
