Angry Birds Space takes off with the Samsung Galaxy Note

Rovio's feathered friends are starting their lunar adventure on Sammy's chunky handset

Angry Birds Space, the biggest Rovio title since the original iPhone app, is launching on the Samsung Galaxy Note. The announcement, via a teaser video, has led to speculation from fans of the irate avians that the game will be a Samsung exclusive.

Rovio has kept most details from leaving the nest, but Angry Birds Space is likely to feature different physics to reflect its lunar location.

The Samsung Galaxy Note’s 5.3in screen will be ideal for controlling those slingshots. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, announced at MWC 2012, may also run the game. The tablet boasts a meaty 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 2MP front and 3MP rear-facing cameras and a 10.1in screen.

Fans of pig destruction will be able to pick up the latest outing for the furious fowl on March 22.
