Canon updates entry-level Legria HF-R camcorders

Wi-Fi equipped camcorders now feature Story Creator, Cinema Look and Wi-Fi connectivity

Canon has revealed its updated entry-level Legria camcorder range at CES 2012, with the new Legria HF R38, Legira HF R36 and Legria HF R306 cameras.

All three feature 3.2 MP Full HD CMOS sensors and DIGIC DV III processors, as well as a 3in touchscreen interface.

They also feature the in-camera Story Creator app, which provides budding Spielbergs with guidance on how to arrange their clips into the best order for the story they’re trying to tell – be it a wedding ceremony or a holiday.

Also filtering down from higher-end models are seven Cinema Look filters, which apply an in-camera digital grade to your footage.

The Legria HF R38 and HF R36 both feature Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling you to upload clips directly to YouTube and Facebook, as well as syncing up with iOS devices using the Movie Uploader app.
