Samsung Galaxy S III appears online
Let's be honest, it's not surprising that Samsung's launching a follow-up its iPhone-killer the Galaxy S II – but the rumours are getting a little more concrete. The Samsung Galaxy S III has even been mentioned by the company's CEO as he debated its release date. But now it’s appeared on Samsung’s official page – albeit in the form of a listing.
The listings follow a numerical pattern, with the original Galaxy S listed as the GT-I90xx, the Galaxy S II appearing as the GT-I91xx and the Galaxy Nexus getting the GT-I9250 listing.
So when a listing for the GT–I9300 (below) appeared on Samsung’s site we got tingly with excitement – it looks like a pretty clear confirmation that the Galaxy S III is incoming.
Expect a ridiculously high-resolution screen, quad-core guts, 4G connectivity, slim body and super long-life battery. And if we’re lucky a Mobile World Congress announcement at the end of February.

Iphone killer ? Methinks not

You're right, the iphone isnt even taken seriously by Samsuny anymore, with its own exynos a15 dual core powerhouse at 2ghz which is more efficient than the A9 quad core offering, with a resolution that can reach the 2k terroitory, rather be with the Asian giant that has more portential long term technologically than the patent fanatical fruit company which modestly updates its phone every year. Iphone is for the masses such as stuff magazine, t3 and those seduced by brand, the gs3 are for people that look beyond brand and focus solely on function. The galaxy s3 should see the 5th iphone as a sales competitor rather than an actual technological superphone rival, the GS3 should have its sights set on what HTC and Sony will be producing as thier equivalents rivals. Iphone is just a bit too cliche now and stopped being cool after 2010, dare say 2009 and the term iphone killer is well past its sell by date donned only by the mainstream media masses and publications, lets face it, the iphone has A LOT of catching up to do now and the only way to do that is to sue and ban the competition. The term ipad killer still holds true as nothing has bettered it and i admit to typing this out with an ipad2
