B&W outs Z2 speaker dock and Zeppelin Air with Lightning connector goodness

B&W 's latest speaker dock gets struck by Lightning. Will you be getting one to free your iPhone 5's music in style?

B&W has announced the Z2, a compact wireless speaker dock with Lightning smarts and built-in AirPlay tech. In true B&W design fashion, the Z2 is minimalist and gracefully curved, with an attractive metal grill to protect its drive units while something dubbed ‘Flowport’ technology works to keep bass in check. The black Z2 will be out in April while the white model will hit shelves in June. Both colours will set you back £330.

Meanwhile B&W hasn’t abandoned the Zeppelin Air, which also gets chummy with Apple’s new connector and adds AirPlay streaming to add to its wide-hipped array of sonic tech. That means those of you with an iPhone 5 can now cradle it in style without any unsightly adaptors getting in the way. The latest Air model promises the same high detailed audio performance and room-filling sound as its predecessor and will arrive in May with a £500 price tag. Style isn’t cheap, you know.
